This painting is titled Stay. The original is a blend of mixed media on a canvas. The concept of this painting came from Mandy wanting to create the idea of a person sitting on the floor debating her next move or decision. Shes kind of holding on to her self trying to find her inner comfort to find peace and block the emotions that she is currently feeling. Ive fallen into this pose a few times in life once begging someone to love me or to please stay, I felt lost and hopeless and as much as I hate to relive those thoughts, that very moment is what made me stronger. That moment I learned to never beg for love or someone to stay because I am better than that. What is alarming is that the second time I found myself in that situation I was debating if I should stay. I was hurt, once again just holding myself together emotionaly and physically. Head rested on my knee as I gathered thoughts and made one of the biggest decisions ever. Do I choose to run away or fight the hurt and stay. Needless to say I will leave the descison unanswered and let the art speak and set your mind into curious mode. Thats what I find so beautiful about art, there is always a story or a sense of inspiration behind each piece created.
